My Birthright : To Live The Soft Life

Did you know that living a “soft life” is your birthright? It Is much more than luxury, it’s a mindset of stillness, self-assurance, faith and gratitude. Believe it or not, living a soft life Is the decision to choose God’s way, which is the path of least resistance. From birth until now, we have been subject to programming and conditioning to believe that anything worth having requires “hard” work and a great deal of effort. However, that wasn’t the creator's design, the blueprint is structured for us to have it easy.

Be transformed by renewing your minds

- Romans 12:2

Our mindset is what shapes our reality. Our five senses are gateways to our subconscious mind, this means that we need to be conscious of what we consume through our five senses. Our surroundings and exposure can signal various belief systems about what is possible in our reality. So, think about the types of information you perceive from your environment daily. This can impact your ability to visualise and manifest “soft living”. This also applies to the people we surround ourselves with, I’m sure you are familiar with the saying “show me your friends and I will tell you who you are”, this is very true because, unlike our biological family/ relatives, we are responsible for choosing them. We initially gravitate towards people because something about them resonates with us. This means that our social circle and romantic relationships reflect parts of who we are. So, if we wish to be softer, inner work is necessary to ensure that we are gravitating towards people who are in alignment with promoting softness.

Can two walk together, except they are in agreement?

- Amos 3:3

Spending time with the wrong people can cause us to take on many of their character traits that negatively impact our own. Influence is a natural occurrence because people must agree to tolerate one another for an extensive period. Birds of a feather, flock together.

As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.

-Proverbs 27:17

Soft from the Inside Out

It’s all well and good to have the appearance of softness, however, if our attitude does not reflect this, then it is useless. The appearance of being a soft lady initially repels unagreeable people from you, but your attitude is more impactful at reinforcing standards and boundaries that co-sign the promotion of soft living.

Determining the quality of our life requires the need to micro-manage who and what enters our space. For example, there may be various types of music and artist we listen to, that represent information different from our desired life path. These can no longer be part of our journey because influence is everything. Transforming our reality requires us to become more strategic and selective with what we listen to, support and see.

Faith without works is dead

- James 2:26

Letting go of anything or anyone that prevents us from attaining softness is required. Experiencing a loss can be challenging, but hard actions are necessary to manifest soft transformation. The more we let go of limiting beliefs, scarcity, stress and expectations of others, the softer we become.

In God's presence, there is rest. He says he will provide the opportunity for you to be still. When you approach Him through prayer, your soul will be calm, and the troubles that often cause you to be overwhelmed will fade.

- Exodus 33:14
